2026 will be the inaugural standalone South Australian Inclusive Championships event, with the competition taking place across 36-holes at the Sandy Creek Golf Club. Previously the championship has been held in conjunction with the South Australian Amateur.
The event will be open to both amateur and professional golfers who currently hold a WR4GD classification pass and compete under one of the nine Sport Classes aligned with the individual’s disability.
The Inclusive Championships held in each state will form part of the newly formed Golf Australia Inclusive Order of Merit, where players will accumulate points according to their finishing position at each event. It is hoped that by creating standalone events such as these, it will enable the Inclusive golfer space to flourish and increase opportunities for more golfers with a disability to participate.
