Winter is traditionally a quiet time for gardeners, but in the world heritage listed Blue Mountains, a group of dedicated garden owners are already preparing their beautiful gardens to take part in this year’s Leura Gardens Festival in Spring. Visit the Blue Mountains to enjoy spring and visit the beautiful cool-climate gardens of Leura, so close to Sydney.
With a total of eight magical gardens to visit, this year’s Leura Gardens Festival is definitely bigger and better than ever. Gardeners looking for inspiration or just wanting to experience the beauty of spring in the Upper Blue Mountains, will be treated to glorious cool climate spring gardens, showcasing a particularly wide range of styles and sizes, of new growth, masses of flowers, gorgeous bulbs like tulips, bluebells, and peonies, as well as an amazing variety of plants such as dazzling rhododendrons, azaleas, and including wonderful cool-climate deciduous trees such as maples, dogwoods and ornamental cherries which will just be coming into their full glory.
The 2025 Leura Gardens Festival tickets are valid for the duration of the festival. Money raised helps support the local hospital and charities. The Festival ‘hop on, hop off’ bus service runs between all gardens, Wentworth Falls, from Leura Station. Visit the website for further information, details and tickets.
