John Duval Wines is a premium family owned wine producer located in the Barossa Valley.

For many years as Chief Winemaker at Penfolds, John was responsible for making Penfolds Grange. During this time John oversaw a dynamic period of development and the many awards and accolades for its wines helped establish Penfolds as one of the world’s great wine brands.

In 2003 John launched his own family wine brand. The family now make a range of wines – a white; Plexus (Marsanne, Roussanne, Viognier), and reds; Plexus (Shiraz, Grenache, Mourvedre), Annexus (Grenache, Shiraz and Mataro) Entity (Shiraz), Eligo (Shiraz) and Integro (Cabernet Shiraz).

In 2011 John Duval Wines began collaborating with six other Barossa winemakers opening the Artisans of Barossa collective tasting room. For over seven years the ‘Artisans’ successfully traded from the picturesque tasting room in Vine Vale. Artisans of Barossa have opened the doors to their new home in Tanunda where we share everything we love about Barossa with you. An opportunity for you to relax and enjoy over 90 wines from eight small-batch winemakers in our Wine Room, or at Essen our benchmark Barossa dining space.

John Duval Wines will never be another Penfolds – it is simply a chance to express 50 plus years of premium winemaking knowledge using some of the best fruit in the world.
