Nestled in the heart of the Scenic Rim resides this luxurious private 70-acre boutique getaway, just 15-minutes to the quaint township of Canungra and 40-minutes to the bustling Gold Coast.
Property owners Trish and Murray Wilson have successfully handcrafted a welcoming luxury retreat (since April 2017) showcasing two beautifully appointed self-catered studios, ideal for a romantic couple’s escape or family and friends.
The country drive will take your breath away as you venture into Flying Fox Valley – situated between Binna Burra and Lamington National Parks – it becomes obvious why this location is so popular with repeat guests.
Guests are encouraged to explore the property on foot and take in the beautiful views, vistas and wildlife that share the farmlands, creek and dam. Or simply enjoy the thoughtfully planned gardens surrounding each studio.
The property is home to varieties of seasonal birds including sea eagles and wedge-tail eagles and regular parrots, pigeons and small birds; not to mention bush wallabies.
For those guests who like to get out and about, there are plenty of country-style markets, events and vineyards and the National Parks that are around 45 minutes to 50 minutes from Country Mile Escape.

The Shay
The Shay is ideal for a couple to escape for a romantic boutique country getaway nestled amongst the rolling hills of Flying Fox near Canungra in the Scenic Rim. The Shay has a luxurious king size bed, a beautiful soaking bathtub with private views. The studio is an open plan concept of a fully equipped kitchenette with a spacious dining and lounge room. Come and sit on the veranda with a glass of wine and take in the beautiful scenery. Features in the studio include a coffee machine, television, fireplace, barbecue on the veranda and an outdoor chimenea.
The Aerial
The Aerial is a private, spacious and comfortable self-catering accommodation for four people, perfect for a family escape with children, or two couples. Each room has its own ensuite and flat screen televisions ensuring that personal space for relaxation time. The studio has an open plan concept with a fully equipped kitchenette, spacious lounge and dining room. Relax on the veranda with friends, family and take in the beautiful views. Features in the studio include Coffee Machine, barbecue on the veranda, beautiful firepit.
