Coolendel Camp is a beautiful nature reserve located on the Shoalhaven River three hours south of Sydney. The 2.5 kilometres of stunning riverfront attracts an extraordinary abundance of Australian wildlife. The comforts of modern facilities, hot showers, the convenience of the Coolendel Store and the help of their friendly Coolendel crew, provide Coolendel’s visitors with a truly unique ‘back to nature’ camping and glamping experience.

The beautiful River surrounds the camp with sections of rapids for thrill-seeker kayakers and large sections of still water for swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding and fishing.
Relax with a ‘sundowner’ at Sandy Beach with the stunning escarpment reflecting in the still water. Go for a beautiful bush walk, 4 wheel drive or explore the labyrinth of bush tracks on your mountain bike.
The 130-acre property has 10 different camping areas. the massive capacity enables campers to find their own secluded piece of paradise. For the none campers, there are 15 glamping tents tucked away, as well as two cute cabins and the bunkhouse, perfect for family gatherings. Large groups can mix and match their accommodation type to suit everyone.

Cabins – White Cedar and Golden Wattle
Coolendel has two cabins for guests who prefer not to camp. Each cabin can accommodate two to six people and has two bedrooms. One with a double bed with all bedding and towels included and one with two bunk beds with pillows and towels. (Bring your own bedding). There is also a pull-out couch to accommodate two more guests. The cabins have a kitchen and bathroom and also have a deck with a BBQ fire pit.
The Bunkhouse
An amazing rustic large house with cathedral ceilings and large windows featuring views of the bush and large open spaces. A large pot belly stove inside and an outdoor fire pit to keep you warm at night and a huge kitchen area for cooking up a storm with your family and friends. There are two bedrooms one with ten bunk beds and the other with a king double that includes bedding and four bunk beds. Large groups often book it to use as a central location to gather with other guests choosing to camp.
The Bunkhouse is located in a private location away from the camping areas to provide you with your own slice of paradise.
Camping
With 130 acres and nine different camping areas to choose from, campers can always find a beautiful secluded spot. The well-maintained roads around the camp make Coolendel suitable for all types of setups. Tent, swag, camper trailer, caravans, motorhomes and camper vans. The camp has well maintained facilities with hot showers, gas BBQs and a well stocked shop, that sells firewood, ice and other forgotten essentials.
Glamping
Coolendel has 15 beautiful glamping tents. The stunning six-metre tents have a king double and two king singles all with hotel linen, towels, duck-down duvets and pillows.
Each glamping tent comes with a gazebo, all your cooking equipment, utensils and plates/ cutlery etc, a gas cooktop, outdoor furniture and a fire pit with BBQ griddle.
The glamping area is called Camp Glamp and is discretely nestled at the highest part of the property.
The shop sells fire wood and ice for the provided esky. All you need to bring is your food and drinks!

Physical – Wheelchair
Caters for people who use a wheelchair.
- Step free outdoor pathways (includes picnic areas, barbecues and shelters)
- A doorbell or intercom at an accessible height and display a contact number (accessible height is 900mm-1100 mm)
- A step free main entrance to the building and/or reception area (includes ramps or slopes with a maximum gradient of 1:14, otherwise are too steep for wheelchairs)
- Doorways which are easy to open and have lever handles (doorways 850mm or wider when open and not heavy).
- An accessible public toilet which is unlocked.
- A wheelchair accessible toilet / shower and change room is available.
- Wheelchair accessible picnic tables (picnic tables require 720mm knee clearance and 800mm maximum height).
- A wheelchair/scooter charging station (power point) in an accessible location is available.
- At least one wheelchair accessible parking space with wheelchair accessible signage clearly displayed (International standards are 3200mm wide x 2500 mm high).
- A wheelchair accessible bathroom (Entrance to bathroom must have step free greater than 5mm or a doorway threshold ramp not exceeding 1:8 for 450mm. Bathrooms dimensions must be no less than 2000mm X 2500mm. Have a hobless (step free) shower recess. Shower recess must have at least 1100 x 1100mm clear area for wheelchair access (no door). Have a slip resistant fold down seat or fixed seat in shower .Seat must be at least 900mm long.).
