Renowned gay pub The Imperial has been the heart of the LGBTQIA+ community in the inner west since the 80’s and was revamped in 2018 with new owners and a new look.
As well as a vegetarian-friendly menu at Priscilla’s, named after that queen of the desert (coincidentally, part of the movie was filmed here in 1993) the big attraction is Drag N’ Dine. From Wednesday-Sunday nights, dine in the restaurant and you’ll have a clear view of the stage where the flamboyant drag performances are thrown in for free. It’s a rotating roster of some of the rowdiest, bawdiest and funniest performers who explore gender and identity while ensuring you have a good time.
The Basement is, you guessed it, an underground venue that’s all about creative self-expression, including drag and performance art, live music and DJs.
