Itinerary highlights

Coolum Beach Boardwalk

The Coolum Beach Boardwalk provides sweeping vistas of Coolum main beach, north to Emu Mountain, Peregian Beach up to Sunshine Beach.

Point Perry Lookout

Point Perry Lookout provides views north over Coolum’s main beach and the foreshore up to Peregian Beach and beyond. To the east, whales can be spotted during whale season late autumn to spring.

First Bay

Coolum’s First Bay is a picturesque surfing and swimming beach, protected from the winds. The rocky pools at the base of Point Perry provide excellent hours of exploration for children and adults alike.

Second Bay Lookout and Beach

Next to First Bay, the Second Bay lookout provides a bird’s eye view of this private swimming and surfing beach along with First Bay to the north.

Second Bay is accessible by steep stairs, and the profusion of pandanus palms provides plenty of photo opportunities.

Third Bay

Third Bay is a secluded stretch and a prime photography location with a long stretch of stairs leading onto the beach. It provides several rich photographic opportunities with the coffee-colored rocks, rock pools and a profusion of pandanus palms.

Kezign Photography

Kezign Photography offers walking photography tours, along with professional landscape photography prints and services. Kerry Mulgrew has been operating as a professional photographer for 10 years on the Sunshine Coast as a landscape and lifestyle photographer.

Kerry teaches how to avoid the most common mistakes made by amateur photographers to take your photography to the next level with either smartphones or your camera. The walking tours are held at Coolum Beach on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and at Mooloolaba to Alexandra Headlands on Wednesdays. Custom tuition tours are also available upon request.

When not hosting walking tours, Kerry specializes in evocative beach lifestyle and landscape images, featuring golden hour and warm morning light. She creates rich, emotive imagery, to bring the joy of the beach holiday into a home 365 days of the year.
