Tucked away in a small shed in the heart of Maroochydore, The Law Artisan Distillery is one of the Sunshine Coast’s most distinctive small-batch distilleries. Visitors wander down a laneway beside the main building and step into a warm, intimate space where every bottle is crafted by hand, one tiny run at a time.

The Law specialises in infused vodka, limoncello, mandarincello, botanical gin, and seasonal amaro — all distilled on site in micro-batches using fresh Queensland produce gathered at the peak of each harvest. From mandarins and citrus peels to botanicals grown in the distiller’s own garden in Buderim and in the backyards of local growers, every spirit reflects the season and the community that surrounds it.

The tasting bar hosts no more than ten guests at a time, ensuring a relaxed, personal experience with the distiller. Sample the range, hear the stories behind each spirit, and take home a little piece of the Sunshine Coast in a bottle.

Visitors often catch the stills in operation — the tiny 5-litre still used for flavour trials and the larger 120-litre still for production. It’s a genuine behind-the-scenes experience, with the distiller close at hand and the craft unfolding right in front of you.
