Skate on art ! The George Town Regent Square skate park is awash with colour.
A rainbow matrix of squares and inspirational text cover the ramps, decks and pipes of the park. The colour continues on to decorate the public toilet “Live Life in Colour” it insists.
Artist Fakington Wilde worked with George Town Council, Relationships Australia and Port Dalrymple School on the design and planning and 60 students participated in its implementation.
In 2024 Fakey’s original work has faded to a gentle patina, George Town Youth Impact Council have work-shopped some new art ideas and artist Ben Miller has taken care of the application.
