Taste your way through Australia’s history on this expert-led Sydney walking tour, where each bite helps tell the story of a nation’s evolving food culture.
Perfect for those who have just arrived, as well as locals and those who want to go deeper in learning about Australian food, history, culture and more.
Starting from Customs House, your guide will give you a brief introduction to Sydney’s history and the significance of where the tour starts.
You’ll then head off for a coffee and learn how Australia’s casual, healthy cafe culture has been exported around the world.
Afterwards, you’ll venture into the city centre, towards the Queen Victoria Building, before looping back towards Circular Quay, with a range of mouth-watering food stops along the way.
You’ll finish at an Aboriginal-led restaurant under the sails of the Sydney Opera House with harbour views of the Bridge, with a shared grazing platter of native Australian foods.
