The TCS Sydney Marathon is the world’s fastest growing marathon, offering visitors an unforgettable experience through one of the world’s most iconic cities.
The marathon starts at the same location as the Sydney 2000 Olympic Marathon in North Sydney, and takes runners across the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge. Participants are guided through a course that passes around the landmarks of The Rocks, Circular Quay and Centennial Park, before finishing in front of the world-famous Sydney Opera House.
The atmosphere feels simply electric. Music, entertainment, movement and collective energy inspire runners to push harder and spectators to liven the course. Visitors from around the world often describe the feeling of stepping onto the course as both grounding and uplifting, with many travelling thousands of kilometres to be part of the shared experience. The sense of achievement and triumph is a feeling many remember long after the event.
