Discover Elderton Wines

Elderton Wines is a family-owned winery located in the heart of the Barossa Valley. Established in 1982 by the Ashmead family, the winery is built on a legacy of historic vineyards, sustainable practices and a commitment to producing world-class wines.

The estate is home to the renowned Command Shiraz vineyard, planted in 1894 and recognised as one of the oldest Shiraz vineyards in the world still in production. These ancient vines, combined with an estate-grown philosophy, produce wines known for their power, elegance and distinctive character.

The Cellar Door is set within the beautifully restored 1918 Elderton Homestead, offering a relaxed and intimate environment for tasting award-winning wines. Visitors are guided through the stories of the vineyards, family history and winemaking philosophy by a knowledgeable and welcoming team.

Whether new to wine or a seasoned enthusiast, each visit provides an opportunity to connect with the heritage of Elderton and the enduring spirit of the Barossa.
