The Maleny Food Co. story began in 2001 when it was founded as Colin James Fine Foods with gelato and sorbet made daily on site using artisan methods. As word spread and the awards began to accumulate, the name became synonymous with ‘truly amazing’ gelato. With a name change to Maleny Food Co. the focus has remained on producing the finest gelato and sorbet products in the State and even Australia, with their products now found in a growing number of restaurants, gelato shops, boutique grocers and cafes, winning regular accolades through industry experts and associations.

With a passion for showcasing Maleny, the surrounding region, its people, produce and stories, the store also stocks an array of sumptuous and delectable local artisan products, which are included in the dishes on their deli-style Cafe menu. You’ll also find some of the 200 cheeses and cured meats stocked in the walk-in fromagerie featured on the menu, along with house favourites and specials.
