Departing Launceston at 7:30am, this full-day guided tour takes you into the heart of the World Heritage-listed Cradle Mountain–Lake St Clair National Park.

Travel through the scenic Meander Valley and along the Great Western Tiers to the town of Sheffield, famous for its vibrant murals depicting the region’s history. Continuing via Gowrie Park and the Forth River Gorge, the landscape shifts from farmland to lush rainforest, alpine heath, and button grass plains.

At Cradle Mountain, one of Tasmania’s most iconic landmarks, enjoy a guided visit to Dove Lake. Take in views of the dramatic dolerite peaks, walk to Glacier Rock, and explore the lakeshore, with opportunities to see Kathleen Falls on clear days.

Visit the historic Waldheim Chalet and take a short 20-minute walk through Weindorfer’s Rainforest, where your guide will introduce the unique ecology of this ancient environment.

On the return journey, stop in Sheffield to visit the Honey Farm and explore the township.
Return to Launceston in the early evening, approximately 5.30-6.00pm.
