Come and visit Campbelltown, also known as Koalatown!
Campbelltown is home to the largest population of disease-free Koalas in New South Wales. The Campbelltown Visitor Information Centre, located at historic Quondong Cottage, have a new Koala Display room showcasing their much-loved Australian icon. The Koala room will also have two special guests on display. Clara and Jerry are local treasures and are here to spread the Koalatown message.
As you walk through learn about the history of Koalas and even how to spot one in the wild. The walls feature information on the efforts Campbelltown is making to conserve its Koala population. Plus local residents and visitors can learn how they can help to ensure their koalas are around for generations to come.
The display room also features many nostalgic Koala items such as mascots from the Olympic and Commonwealth Games, soft toys, games, books and more. Take a memory from Koalatown home with you by purchasing one of the Koala themed souvenirs available in the Visitor Centre. Leather purses, tea towels, bags, mugs, magnets, pencils, earrings and more.
