The Cygnet Gallery is a vibrant showcase of southern Tasmania’s artistic spirit, set in the picturesque township of Cygnet, just a 45-minute drive south of nipaluna / Hobart.
This welcoming gallery is home to an ever-changing body of work by talented local artists. Visitors can browse an impressive variety of art, including painting in diverse styles, photography, intricate sculptures, beautiful ceramics, unique jewellery pieces, and much more. The gallery also features mixed media creations and textile art, providing a comprehensive display of the region’s creativity.
Situated at 9A Mary Street in the heart of Cygnet, the gallery’s central location makes it an accessible and inviting stop for both locals and travellers exploring the Huon Valley. With its warm and friendly atmosphere, the Cygnet Gallery is open seven days a week and most public holidays from 10 am to 4 pm, offering an engaging experience that celebrates the rich artistic tapestry of southern Tasmania.
Managed by the Huon Art Exhibitions Group (HAEG), the Cygnet Gallery plays a vital role in supporting the region’s cultural landscape. The group’s signature event, the annual Huon Art Awards held each March, draws art enthusiasts from near and far. Beyond this, HAEG hosts solo exhibitions and special art events at the nearby Lovett Gallery.
