Your surf lesson includes a rash shirt or wetsuit, soft malibu surfboard and two hours instruction from qualified surf life savers who know the beach and water safety better then anyone else.
They meet at the trailer in the car park at Beach Access No 11 at the river mouth end of Hastings Street, at least 10 minutes before the lesson. They arrange the right size rashie or wetsuit and surfboard and then walk to the beach ready for some instruction. They run the lessons in waist deep water and catch small broken white water waves to make it easy for beginners. Most people get to stand up in their first lesson and have a fantastic time.

Standing up on your first wave
Most people who come to us for a surf lesson have a very low expectation. They do not think they will be able to stand up. But with the correct size surf board and some basic instruction we can get everyone standing up in their first lesson. Everyone is so excited when they stand up for the first time on a surf board.
