Koompartoo Retreat is an adults-only boutique retreat set amongst tropical rainforests on the edge of historic Bellingen town. Private cabins provide a romantic sanctuary for couples to enjoy a relaxing break away from it all, yet an easy 10-minute walk to cafés, restaurants and shops of Bellingen.

These are Bellingen’s most sought-after luxury cabins for couples – perfect for a romantic getaway, anniversary celebration or just to rejuvenate and recharge. Each individual cabin is crafted from local hardwoods with stained glass bay windows, timber floors, high ceilings and shady verandahs.

On arrival you will be welcomed by the ancient Bluegum tree, thought to be over 250 years old, which provides an ideal perch for the many local kookaburras and black cockatoos. Feel the stress of daily life melt away as you relax in your hanging chair amongst the treetops. Maybe you’ll be lucky enough to spot a wallaby heading to the creek as you observe the magnificent birds which call Koompartoo home.

Three of the cabins include a freestanding bath and all include a Queen bed and electric fireplace, electric blankets and reverse cycle air-conditioning, quality linen, fluffy bathrobes & towels and toiletries. The cabins have private bathrooms and a kitchenette and are warm and individually furnished. Amenities include a refrigerator, microwave, tea, Nespresso coffee machine and milk.
