What began as a dream in 2007 became a reality for Penrith locals Matt and Mark, two lifelong mates with a shared passion for brewing.
In 2018, they opened the doors to their first nanobrewery—Rusty Penny Brewery—right in the heart of Penrith. This small-scale setup gave them the freedom to experiment and refine their craft, producing a diverse range of brews including Pilsners, Pale Ales, IPAs, and Stouts, all tailored for fellow beer lovers and the local community.
Today, Rusty Penny Brewery has grown into a larger manufacturing site, offering visitors a relaxed and immersive brewery experience.
The venue features a spacious open-plan layout with ample seating, a rotating selection of craft beers on tap, and a kitchen serving up hearty smoked meats and Aussie classics. It’s the ideal spot to catch up with friends, unwind, and enjoy some of Australia’s finest craft beer.
