Ideally located on a pretty waterfront in Mosman, Ripples Chowder Bay dishes up a Modern Australian menu in a renovated 19th-century submarine miners’ depot. The original timber framing and columns remain, and the main room features a spiral staircase that was originally used to connect the miner’s workshop to the mine storage chambers during the 1890s.
Part of the Sydney Restaurant Group, house specialties include WA lobster spaghetti with bisque and sundried tomato, bistecca all fiorentina cooked in lemon olive oil and rosemary, and whole lamb shoulder with kale, baby potatoes and jus.
Make the most of the fantastic views by booking in for a long lunch or celebrate a special occasion with dinner on Friday or Saturday night.
