Ipswich Orpheus Chorale Inc presents The Vicar of Dibley, a stage adaptation by Ian Gower & Paul Carpenter, based on the TV series by Richard Curtis & Paul Mayhew-Archer.
Join Dibley’s delightfully eccentric parish for an evening of warm-hearted comedy and beloved moments brought vividly to life. When the town’s famously stubborn parish council, led by David Horton (Paul Douglas), meets their first female vicar, Geraldine Granger (Jacqui Spurr), sparks—and laughter—fly. Can Geraldine win over the congregation with her irrepressible charm and the help of super keen, but not so bright, verger Alice Tinker (Bronte Kubler)?
Watch the village’s unforgettable characters in full comedic flow: Alice and Hugo (Christopher Smith) navigate a tender, awkward courtship; Owen Newitt (Jamie Spence) tends to his cows; Frank Pickle (Ross Barns) obsesses over his minutes; and Letitia Cropley (Marilyn Veitch) serves up some truly unusual recipes. And yes—Jim Trotter (Bob Polowyj) will be dithering exactly as you remember.
