in addition and seperate to the Dog Park the area is a great location for keen bird watchers, Over 65 bird species has been observed at Marlows, including Black Bittern, Nankeen Night Herons, Great Egrets, Intermediate Egrets, and the grey morph Reef Egret.

The lagoon’s islands serve as refuges for birds, and the surrounding trees attract various honeyeaters and insectivorous birds such as White-winged Trillers. Raptors like Black Kites, Whistling Kites, Brahminy Kites, and Brown Goshawks are frequently seen soaring or hunting in the area.
