Historic Kilmuir Country Retreat offers self-contained accommodation for groups of 12-17 people. Located just five minutes’ drive from Mansfield township, it is the ideal base from which to explore the local area.
Mt Buller and Mt Stirling are 40 minutes away. Local lakes and rivers provide wonderful opportunities for water activities. Amazing bush walking experiences are free at nearby Samaria State Park as well as national parks. Delatite Winery and its award winning restaurant are a 10 minute drive. Horse riding experiences can be from two hours to half a day. Mansfield has excellent coffee shops, restaurants and takeaway food. The local golf course has a restaurant too.
Kilmuir Country Retreat was originally the shearers’ quarters. The under cover alfresco dining area easily seats 17 people. It has a six burner barbecue, overhead fan and heaters.
All linen, towels, face washers and soaps are provided. Bedrooms have heaters and fans. In winter beds have both electric blankets and woollen underlays for a super-cosy and comfortable sleep.
The kitchen is equipped with crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils, fridges, microwave, gas stove and dishwasher.
The lounge room has a gas faux-fire, television and couches. There is a drying room for ski gear in winter.
There are four showers and four toilets. Unrivalled privacy is provided by mature gardens.
Majestic, centuries-old red gums dominate sweeping views of surrounding farmland.

Kilmuir Country Retreat – Exclusive Use
Suitable for groups of up to 17 people. Eight bedrooms consisting of two doubles, one queen, four twin share (two single beds per room) and one triple (single bed and single bunk).
All linen, towels, soaps, face washers and electric blankets are provided. All bedrooms open on to the verandas. The queen and triple room have a connecting door which can be locked.
One double and one twin room can be accessed from the lounge room. These doors can also be locked. Bring your own portacot.
