Tackle the Kokoda Challenge and test your physical and mental resilience by walking through the Heathcote and Royal National Park over a distance of 96km, 48km, or 18km. The Kokoda Challenge is Australia’s toughest team endurance event and is not for the faint-hearted.
This event, however, isn’t just for elite athletes, it’s for anyone who wants a challenge from ages 9 to 99! There are school groups who can enter – 4 students and a teacher to compete for the School Cup plus the Gym Cup where different gym teams compete to take out the winning prize.
This is more than a personal challenge – it’s an opportunity to give back to your community. The funds raised support Kokoda Youth Foundation programs to help kids in the local community. The Kokoda Youth Programs are empowering local kids facing disadvantages and disengagement to realise their full potential by instilling the values of the Kokoda Spirit; Courage, Endurance, Mateship, and Sacrifice.
Past participants have called this event “physically and emotionally exhausting, and yet the most extraordinary and rewarding thing we’ve completed.” Every step is a testament to your inner strength, prove to yourself what you’re truly made of and join in on this epic adventure!
