  • Experience a unique blend of camping and comfort, spending one night under the stars and another in a cosy lodge.
  • Hike with just a daypack from January to April, enjoying a lighter load while soaking in the natural beauty.

The Two Peaks hiking tour will take you across two magnificent mountains, Mt Stirling and Mt Buller. Both mountains are popular winter holiday destinations for many Victorians, but once the snow melts, the ski trails transform to wonderful hiking trails.

Enjoy three days of guided hiking through cool forests of the Alpine National Park and over peaks with breathtaking views. The scenery is ever-changing with lush ferns edging the Delatite River, tall Alpine Ash forests, twisted Snow Gums and treeless mountain tops.

This hike offers the best of both worlds in accommodation. You will rough it out in a tent the first night and sleep in a cosy lodge the second night.

From start of January till the end of April, you can do this entire hike with a daypack only.
During November, December and May, you will be required to carry an overnight backpack for the afternoon on day 1 and half of the morning on day 2.

High Country Hiking Tours

Breathe in the High Country, Exhale the Experience is much more than a motto, it’s a mantra for Romana and Kevin, partners in life and co-founders of High Country Hiking Tours.

From the summits of Mt Stirling and Mt Buller, through valleys where mountain rivers flow, across the ridges of Eagles Peaks and The Crosscut Saw they hike, visiting high country huts, knocking off summits along the way, laying their heads down for a good night’s rest in some of the most spectacular locations the High Country has to offer.

On their hikes you will visit places with the most amazing sunsets you will ever see and sunrises that take your breath away. You will walk amongst wildflower covered hillsides and breathe the freshest air.

Only approximately 210 kilometre North East of Melbourne, they offer affordable adventures that range from half days to challenging five-day treks in remote wilderness that can be tailored to suit anyone from an enthusiastic beginners to small groups of friends keen for a fun weekend in the great outdoors.
