Itinerary highlights

The Pinnacles (Beowa National Park)

The Pinnacles is a breathtaking natural landmark located within Beowa National Park on the Far South Coast of New South Wales. This striking rock formation showcases dramatic cliffs of vivid white sand and deep red clay, estimated to be 65 million years old. The white sands represent an ancient water table, while the overlying red gravel clay owes its hue to iron oxide. This unique geological composition offers a stunning visual contrast against the surrounding bushland and ocean vistas.

Bundian Way Cultural Experiences

The Eden Local Aboriginal Land Council (Eden LALC) is a not-for-profit Aboriginal organisation that offers immersive cultural experiences on the Far South Coast of New South Wales along the Bundian Way. The Bundian Way is a project decades in the making, creating a cultural hiking trail envisioned by, constructed by, and cared for by, the local Aboriginal community. Guided experiences along the Bundian Way are led by the Eden Local Aboriginal Land Council’s Country Custodians, who share their deep connection to Country through storytelling, sharing insights into local Aboriginal tradition and culture that has been passed down for generations.

By participating in these cultural experiences, visitors are helping to make a meaningful difference in the local Aboriginal community as these experiences provide opportunities for economic independence and intergenerational knowledge sharing, whilst strengthening cultural pride among the local Aboriginal community.

Set against stunning coastal and bushland landscapes, these experiences offer a rare opportunity to engage with the world’s oldest living culture in an authentic and meaningful way.
