Michael Armstrong Art is a small studio for brave art. Michael Armstrong is a benevolent figurative artist, painter, and photographer passionate about the human form and humankind. He owns and runs a public art studio and solo artist gallery in Lyneham, Canberra, that doubles as a wellbeing space, making it a hub for creativity and learning.

Armstrong aims to convey a deep inner emotional expression through his work rather than only describing the external form. He creates emotive allegories based on themes of love, loss, pain, shame, and hope. His contemporary works draw on real-life situations, a wealth of literary sources, and intensely personal, psychological symbolism. Armstrong has a strong social conscience, and his works engage deeply with humanitarian issues. His art is an expression of a moment and a reflection of a lifetime.

Armstrong’s paintings, drawings and figurative sculptures in cold cast bronze and other media are available by appointment for public and private viewing.

Michael Armstrong Art’s Inner North Lyneham space is thoughtfully designed for accessibility and maximum engagement. It is a shared space with Flow and Food Yoga & Ayurveda and Rogue Brazilian Jujitsu Canberra.
