You book the whole boat out for 12 people. Perfect for Corporate Functions, Family Fun Days or Christmas/End of Year parties.
There’s no better way to experience Albany than by boat. Albany is home to pristine beaches, turquoise waters and the most beautiful bays in Australia.
Albany’s waters are steeped in history. Imagine what it would have been like when the first explorers arrived as early as 1627 or when the first ANZAC troops departed Albany for World War I in 1914. Cast yourself back in time to the whaling days and see the old Whaling Station and a shipwrecked Whale Chaser, the Cheynes II which broke its moorings and ran aground. It’s incredible to view up close and a photographer’s favourite.
Their boat is the “Young Salty Dog”, a twin-hull catamaran and an ex-Sea Rescue vessel that is safe and stable. Captain Mark will give you a personalised tour of the harbour and King George Sound.

King George Sound Safari
King George Sound Safari run whale and scenic boat safaris daily around King George Sound and Princess Royal Harbour in Albany, Western Australia. They are the only boat tour operating year-round out of Albany Marina.
Their boat is the “Young Salty Dog”, a twin-hull catamaran and ex-Sea Rescue vessel that is safe and stable. Holding up to 12 passengers, Captain Mark will impart his local knowledge and give you a personalised tour.
From around May to October, Humpback, Southern Right and occasionally rare Blue Whales frolic, mate and calve in Albany’s sheltered waters. Dolphins and seals can be seen all year round.
From November to April, they operate three tours daily of two hours duration. From May to October they focus on whale safaris, operating two tours daily of three hours duration.
Their custom safaris are perfect for corporate functions, families or Christmas parties where you book the boat out for two, three or four hours.
A barbecue is available on request and you can bring your own food and drinks, including alcohol.
