You are invited to our Introduction to Bargello Embroidery Craft Class here in our Creative Studio at Piney Ridge Farm.

Bargello is a type of embroidery that dates back to the 17th Century. Traditionally, Bargello was stitched in wool on canvas because it made it very durable and suitable for use on upholstery, cushions, or even carpets.

Modern Bargello however, sees it making  a statement in more contemporary pieces, such as clutch purses, sunglasses cases, tissue box covers or Christmas decorations.

In our Bargello Embroidery Craft Class, Roz will show you the basics of Bargello Embroidery, and provide you with a stitching chart and all materials you will need to make a set of 4 Bargello Coasters.

No previous experience is necessary, although you will be able to work at a faster pace if you already have a basic knowledge of how to work with a needle and thread.

Come and spend a relaxing few hours in the Beginner’s Macrame Wall Hanging Class making this lovely Wall Hanging. You will come away with your own beautiful piece of wall art, ready to hang on your wall or give as a gift to someone special.

Piney Ridge Farm’s Beginner’s Macrame Wall Hanging has been designed especially by Roz. It will teach you five of the main knots used in Macrame. You will become familiar with the Larks Head Knot, Square Knot, Spiral Knot, Diagonal Half Hitch, and the Gathering Knot.

All materials will be provided for you, with full instructions so that you can work at your own pace, or under Roz’s guidance if you need it.

The Class is held at the Creative Studio here at Piney Ridge Farm.

Have you ever tried making your own Greeting Cards? They are so expensive to buy, and yet, they’re so easy and fun to make.

In our Greeting Card Making Class you are invited to make your own choice of up to 6 cards and matching envelopes from our selection.

Some of the designs are made using pre-cut pieces pre-prepared for you on our die-cutting machines and provided as a Kit with step-by-step instructions as to how to piece them together in-class.

And others of these designs you can create yourself in-class using our Sizzix die-cutting machine and our large collection of cardstock, embossing folders, stamps, punches and embellishments. All you need is either your imagination to create your own designs using our materials, or you are welcome to copy our designs.

Have you ever wanted to make your own crochet basket?

You may be thinking of the very intricate crochet doilies that perhaps your Grandmother used to have on her sideboard or dressing table, made with very fine crochet cotton and metal needles?

Well this is different! This is Chunky Crochet – made with a much thicker fibre and a very thick wooden crochet needle. It can only take a few hours to create something very useful and contemporary, as a modern decorative piece in your home. Book a place in our Class where Roz will supply all materials and her own pattern for you to make this fun basket.
