Handbuilding & Sculpting Garden Forms with Di (Mud of Moon)
Part of Redlands Coast AdventureFest

Drawing inspiration from the natural surroundings of the Redlands Coast – its gardens, bushland, textures, creatures, and quiet magic – you’ll create a one-of-a-kind garden ornament or planter designed to live outdoors and become part of your landscape.

Di will guide you through sculptural handbuilding techniques, helping you shape form, surface, and personality into your piece. Your creation may take on the presence of a guardian, nature spirit, or character inspired by your own imagination and environment, with room to explore organic textures, expressive features, and natural motifs.

You’ll be guided through:

Building strong sculptural forms suitable for garden display or planting

Sculpting character, texture, and surface detail

Designing a finished piece ready for drying and firing

This workshop is suitable for beginners through to experienced makers. Di’s gentle, intuitive teaching style supports both technical learning and creative exploration.

Held as part of Redlands Coast AdventureFest, this workshop offers a deeper, slower kind of adventure – one rooted in making by hand, connecting with place, and creating something meaningful for your own garden or outdoor space.

Come and spend the day crafting with earth, imagination, and the living landscape of the Redlands Coast.
