Billy Tea Safaris is a leading eco-certified tour operator and provider of world-class, small group experiences with unique itineraries to the Daintree Rainforest & Cape Tribulation as well as the Outback and Chillagoe Caves to the west of Cairns.
Tours are also available on a private charter basis allowing the day to be tailored to suit the guests’ activity level, special interests and time frame.
Operating a modern fleet of 19-seat vehicles, averaging less than 3 years of age, Billy Tea Safaris cater for individuals, couples, and families, as well as small to medium groups with multiple vehicles and guides available daily.
Billy Tea Safaris prides itself on being an Advanced Eco Accredited and an Eco-Tourism Hall of Fame operator, a Green Travel Leader, and Roc Certified (Respecting our Culture) in the Wet Tropics World Heritage areas that they operate.
Guests sit back and relax in comfort in a custom-built 4WD air-conditioned vehicle while listening to informative and entertaining commentary by their local eco-accredited naturalist guide for the day. Daintree Rainforest & Cape Tribulation Full Day Tour
Expertly guided aboard one of Billy Tea Safari’s custom 4WD vehicles, this immersive wet-tropics experience showcases the flora, fauna and diverse landscapes of the oldest continually surviving rainforest on the planet.
Highlights include a scenic coastal drive, Daintree River cruise, guided rainforest walk, lunch in a beautiful rainforest setting, opportunity for an invigorating rainforest swim, free time at Cape Tribulation beach, complimentary tropical fruit ice-cream and a cable ferry crossing of the Daintree River.
Outback & Chillagoe Caves Day Tour
Discover the accessible Australian Outback and remarkable Chillagoe Caves on this unique and immersive full-day tour from Cairns.
Sample the local produce at Skybury Farms, visit the Chillagoe-Mungana Caves National Park with its remarkable limestone caves, Balancing Rock, Wullumba Aboriginal rock art, and a historically significant mining site. Meet the locals over lunch at a fair-dinkum Aussie pub and hand-feed rare and endangered Mareeba Rock Wallabies in their native habitat at Granite Gorge.
2 Day Reef and Rainforest Tour
Over 2 days, experience the best of Cairns with a Billy Tea Safaris small-group guided day tour of the Daintree Rainforest and Cape Tribulation. This is followed by a day exploring the Great Barrier Reef from Cairns’ ultimate reef cruise vessel, Evolution. The days can be taken in either order and do not need to be consecutive. 3 Day Reef, Rainforest and Outback Tour
