The Alumny School operated from 1872 until 1969. It’s now a living museum of school life with significant pieces of equipment, school records and memorabilia reflecting various stages of education over the years.
The former teacher’s residence also houses a WW1& 11 Memorial display dedicated to the local servicemen.
It’s a trip in a time machine back to your primary school days featuring many small details that may be long forgotten. The reserve surrounding the school is like a village green with picnic facilities, shady trees and sports facilities. The 4 hectares of maintained grounds are available for hire (for a fee) for functions and events such as weddings, naming ceremonies, funerals, and family gatherings.
The precinct also offers a picturesque setting for photo shoots.
Open Mondays until noon, or at other times by appointment.
