AVCon After Dark at the Adelaide Showground is a separately ticketed Saturday night event that expands the AVCon Festival experience with 18+ programming and a more grown up atmosphere.

Expect a lively evening featuring licensed bar service, adults only panels and workshops, mature cosplay events, anime screenings, video gaming and epic stage shows. Gaming continues after hours with free play and special games, giving you more time to jump on your favourite titles or try something new. On stage, you can enjoy performances and features created specifically for the After Dark crowd, with programming that is not part of the daytime schedule.

Explore Midnight Lane, where you can find art not suitable for daytime, alongside unique vendors and pop culture shopping that feels distinct from the usual offerings. It is the perfect place to discover bold, creative work, pick up something exclusive, and support artists in a space designed for older audiences.

Whether you are coming to watch, play, learn or simply enjoy the atmosphere, After Dark is for attendees who want something a little different once the main Festival day wraps up.

Entry is for ages 18+ and photo ID is required. Responsible service of alcohol applies. If you already have a daytime AVCon ticket, you may be eligible for a discount. Check ticketing details for eligibility and how to claim it.
