Nestled in a small forested clearing near the magnificent Tooloom Falls, this campground is a picturesque place to get back to nature. It’s also a place of great significance for the Githabul People. You’ll find interpretive signage at the campground explaining the importance of the falls in local Aboriginal culture. Please remember to tread carefully and with respect during your visit.
Set up your tent or trailer in one of the marked campsites before heading off to explore this small 3 hectare reserve. Go paddling in the creek or take in the spectacular sight of the water cascading over rocks at Tooloom Falls. There’s a short, steep track down to the bottom of the falls if you’d like to go swimming in the waterhole. If you’re lucky, you might spot a platypus in Tooloom Creek.
At the end of the day, cook up a feast on one of the wood barbecues and enjoy the sound of the cascading falls as you settle in for the night.
