Hervey Bay and Fraser Island offer some world-class fishing opportunities due to this unique fishery being home to both northern and southern species. A number of Australia’s most iconic fish are caught in these waters including the famous Black Marlin, Longtail Tuna, Cobia, Snapper and more.
For all those who are keen to get into some fishing action in our incredible backyard on the Fraser Coast, Fraser Island Boat Charters has teamed up with Hervey Bay Fly and Sportfishing to offer a unique bareboating yacht hire + full day guided fishing charter all in one.
You’ll get picked up from wherever you choose to anchor for the night across the Great Sandy Strait and taken to fishing hotspots by Andrew Chorley and his experienced team of guides before heading back to your own private yacht for the night.
