Learn to surf with the area’s longest-running surf school. The original Central Coast Surf School is located on the scenic Central Coast, with some of the best surfing beaches in Australia.
Umina/Ocean Beach – a protected bay that rarely gets large swells and offers arguably the most ideal conditions for learning to surf.
Avoca Beach – a more open beach that can almost guarantee waves 365 days a year and some of the best surfing on the coast.
Terrigal Beach – another open beach which regularly offers ideal learning conditions.
Central Coast Surf School uses approved, safe, soft surfboards and provides wetsuits and sunscreen.
All Central Coast Surf School staff are Surfing Australia accredited and are current senior First Aid holders and ‘Ocean Safety Surf Coach Award’ (awarded by the Australian Professional Ocean Lifeguard Association) certificate holders.
Established in 1996, they are fully insured and have a perfect safety record.

Tour/s
Central Coast Surf School – Two Day Course
Offered during school holidays, these two day courses consist of two 90 minute lessons over two consecutive days. Costs include the use of all equipment. They run at Avoca, Terrigal and Umina Beaches.
Central Coast Surf School – Private
Learn to Surf private tuition, one-on-one private lessons for one hour can be catered to your requirements when and where. The professional instructors will get you off on the right foot, or help you progress to the next level.
Central Coast Surf School – Semi Private Lessons
Just you and a mate or two you can enjoy a personal lesson with a family member or two or your friends. When and where you prefer.
Central Coast Surf School – Group Lessons
Central Coast Learn to Surf – group lessons, venues and times are pre-organised. Group lessons run with a maximum student / instructor ratio of eight to one.
