The Beach House Hotel Hundy Festival is a weekend of multisport events. The jewel is a long course triathlon consisting of a two kilometre swim, 80 kilometre bike and 18 kilometre run. It takes place along the beautiful foreshore of the protected waters of Hervey Bay. The Hundy festival is run by the Hervey Bay Triathlon Club.
Happening also is the HitFM Hervey Bay 50, a standard distance race on the Saturday of the festival weekend. Each event has an associated Aquabike event for those that don’t like the idea of running.
For the swimmers, there is the Barge2Beach, a now iconic event where you are taken offshore in a Whale watching catamaran to jump off and swim the 2km back to shore.
