Bellwether Wines will feed and inspire your soul. Seven kilometres north of the Coonawarra township, in Buandig country.

Based in the 1868 Glen Roy Shearing Shed this beautiful space combines history, humour and creativity – you will be overwhelmed with warm nostalgia. A boutique winery with the cellar door and community kitchen in the heart of the winery. All wines are made on site, with particular focus on sustainability of long term climate appropriate varieties made using hard work and love not power. Food is important to them- so uniquely they request you book ahead online – you will help minimise food waste. An immersive experience, you can stay the night glamping in a Bell tent or they have seven campsites if you have your own camping gear. Surrounded by ancient redgums, some with canoe scars, from this old swamp country.

Make sure you book in for a tasting of the mixture of eclectic varieties and gently handled classics.

There is an extensive produce garden, friendly farm animals and of course wines, Bellwether is child and pet friendly. If you visit during vintage you will see first hand the wines fermenting in the winery and the whole winemaking process.
