Itinerary highlights

Limestone Park

Leaving the city behind us we Depart Perth at 8am, heading North to Limestone Park. This is a tropical oasis hidden within the Wheatbelt with over 450 species of colourful birds on display.
White peacocks roam the property while scarlet-breasted parrots and vibrant Macaws seek attention from the visitors. Step inside the free flight botanical aviaries to get up close and personal with some cheeky chatty parrots and some handsome feathered friends.

Local Goat Cheese Farm

Next, indulge in an Artisan Experience at a charming, off-the-grid goat cheese farm. Taste freshly crafted cheeses and homemade gelato, all born from the passion of local craftsmanship. Gerald hand-milks the goats each morning and Julie skilfully churns the milk into creamy delights. This charming countryside barn is where tradition comes together with authentic flavour.

Little Eeden Honey Farm

We continue onto Little Eeden Honey Farm, where you’ll enjoy a honey tasting session of local WA bush honey. Surrounded by nature, you can relax as you learn about the health benefits of different honey varieties. As we sit down to enjoy lunch, make sure to keep an eye out for the Australian native flightless Emu birds standing at 2-meters tall, that call this farm home.

New Norcia

History enthusiasts will rejoice as we take a journey back in time and roam the historic streets of New Norcia. While New Norcia has strong religious ties, its appeal stretches far beyond faith. The town reflects a blend of European traditions, rich Aboriginal culture and a deep spiritual legacy. Founded in 1847 by Spanish monks, it’s the only living / working monastery remaining in the Nation.

We’ll step inside the well preserved Benedictine Abbey with its Grand Moser pipe organ and its sgraffito murals. Stand back and admire The New Norcia Hostel, St Ildephonsus collage, St Gertrudes and the Monastery Residence, all offering endless photo opportunities with their unique blend of Mediterranean-architecture combined with Australian outback charm.

Visit the Art Gallery and Museum. Uncover artifacts, diaries, and manuscripts from this complex past. Learn of the intertwined stories of the Aboriginal Yued people and the monks. From early cooperation to the tragic Australian legacy of the stolen generation.
