Beyond Byron E Bikes is a premium e-bike hire business located in Mooball, opposite the southern end of the Northern Rivers Rail Trail.
They specialise in self-guided e-bike hire for riders looking to explore the Rail Trail and surrounding hinterland at their own pace. Starting from their Mooball location, one of the easiest and most convenient access points for visitors travelling from Byron Bay, Lennox, Ballina and the Gold Coast, with free parking available on site.
In addition to general e-bike hire, they offer two popular self-guided ride options to Unicorn Falls in Mount Jerusalem National Park and the award-winning Husk Farm Distillery at Tumbulgum. These routes combine sections of the Northern Rivers Rail Trail with quiet country roads and rainforest landscapes, with optional return transport available.

This is one of the most convenient and enjoyable ways to experience the region, with easy access from Byron Bay, Lennox Head and Ballina, and plenty of free parking on site.
This is a self-guided e-bike hire experience. We provide high-quality Bosch-powered German e-bikes, along with helmets, locks, panniers (to carry your stuff) and a full briefing before you ride.
Optional route suggestions and local advice are available, allowing you to plan your ride while remaining completely independent.
The Northern Rivers Rail Trail is a 24km purpose-built, car-free path through the Tweed hinterland, featuring historic bridges, tunnels and diverse scenery. With flexible hire durations of up to 6 hours, you can ride at your own pace, stop for food and explore along the way.
Starting from Mooball offers a quieter and more relaxed experience compared to busier access points, making it ideal for couples, families and independent travellers.
Riders access and use the Rail Trail independently as members of the public.

This scenic route combines sections of the Rail Trail with quiet country roads and rainforest, finishing at the award-winning Husk Farm Distillery in Tumbulgum.
Ride at your own pace using our suggested route and simple navigation app, with plenty of time to stop, take photos and enjoy the surroundings. The journey includes a mix of car-free trail riding and peaceful hinterland roads, with beautiful views, river crossings and a memorable ride through Duroby Nature Reserve before descending to the Tweed River.
Husk Farm Distillery is the perfect destination to relax, offering tastings of Husk Rum and Ink Gin, as well as a restaurant overlooking the river (open Wed–Sun).
Our premium BOSCH-powered German e-bikes make the ride smooth and enjoyable, even on the hills, and are suitable for a wide range of riders. We provide helmets, locks, panniers, lights and everything you need for a comfortable ride.
All hires start from our Mooball location, with free parking and easy access from Byron, Lennox and Ballina (approx. 30 minutes). Optional return transport to Mooball is available for convenience.

Ride at your own pace using our suggested route and simple navigation app, with plenty of time to stop, take photos and enjoy the surroundings. The journey takes you through farmland, forest and into Mount Jerusalem National Park, where Unicorn Falls offers a peaceful and refreshing destination.
The route includes a mix of car-free trail riding and quiet rural roads, with some hills along the way. Our premium Bosch-powered German e-bikes make the climbs smooth and manageable, making the experience accessible for a wide range of riders.
All hires start from Mooball, with easy access from Byron, Lennox and Ballina with free parking on site.
This is a self-guided experience. We provide bike hire, route suggestions and support so you can explore independently.
