This trip has entirely the same walking as the Blue Mountains Traverse but with upgraded accommodations spectacularly located right on the edge of the park. The Blue Mountains, only 90 kilometres from Sydney is easily the most accessible World Heritage-listed wilderness area in Australia. The walk traverses the plateau and the valley floor from Mt Victoria via Blackheath and Leura to Wentworth Falls. As you wind your way through the mountains you’ll be astonished by the abundance of magnificent vistas with highlights, including Bridal Veil Falls, Govett’s Leap Lookout, the Jamison Valley via the Scenic Railway and the Waterfall Valley near Leura.

Auswalk Walking Holidays
Leave the car behind – get some fresh air and a healthy dose of exercise on a comfortable inn-to-inn walking holiday. While you walk, your luggage is moved ahead of you. You only need to carry a light day pack containing your picnic lunch, jacket and camera. The trips can be done self-guided using easy-to-follow walking notes and marked maps, or you can choose a guided holiday.
Each day has an average of four to five hours walking, leaving plenty of time for taking photos and enjoying leisurely lunch breaks. There are options along the way so it’s easy to increase or decrease the amount of walking you do.
Emerge from the National Park at the end of each day’s walking to be pampered in style. The bed and breakfasts, boutique inns and guesthouses have been hand selected ensuring variety, cleanliness, a comfortable bed, great food and a warm welcome.
