A true ocean swim along one of the Sunshine Coast’s most iconic stretches. From the Bluff to Alexandra Headland, this is open water done properly — saltwater, stamina and community, all in support of local surf lifesaving.
The Lexus Maroochydore Bluff to Bar is Alex Surf Club’s signature ocean swim. A professionally managed, safety-supported point-to-point challenge delivered by experienced surf lifesavers. Whether participants are stepping up to their first ocean event or are seasoned swimmers, this is built for confident ocean swimmers ready to take on the coastline.
Distance options include a 500m Junior Ocean Swim for ages 9 to 11 and a 1.2km Ocean Swim. Elite swimmers compete for prizes, with junior prizes and category prize packs also available.
Every entry supports local surf lifesaving and youth development at Alex Surf Club and participants receive a finisher T-shirt.
This event is designed for confident ocean swimmers, open water enthusiasts, triathletes and locals ready to take on the challenge.
