Kangaroo Island Wildlife and Conservation

Kangaroo Island Wildlife and Conservation

Experience the best of Kangaroo Island on this immersive four-day wildlife and conservation journey.

From the moment you arrive, you’ll explore the island’s diverse landscapes, encounter its unique wildlife, and take part in hands-on conservation experiences. Discover endangered species like the glossy black-cockatoo and green carpenter bee, walk among Australian sea lions, and explore dramatic coastal landmarks including Remarkable Rocks, Admirals Arch, and the clifftops of Cape Gantheaume. Along the way, learn from local ecologists and conservationists about fire ecology, habitat recovery, and ongoing efforts to protect this extraordinary island ecosystem.

Murray River Wilderness Cruise

Murray River Wilderness Cruise

Guided by ecologists, naturalists and local experts, explore thriving wetlands, ancient river country and wildlife returning to restored habitat.

Join expert guides on a four-day journey through the culture, wildlife and ecology of the Murray River. Walk along ancient river bends, wander through red gum forests and billabongs and learn how environmental flows are revitalising wetlands, restoring habitat and supporting threatened species such as the southern bell frog and Regent parrot.

Explore diverse landscapes in search of red kangaroos, emus, koalas, goannas and more than 180 bird species found throughout this region.

A luxury houseboat will be your comfortable base, where you’ll enjoy creative regional cuisine with Riverland wines and relaxed evenings on deck as the river settles into twilight. With small groups and hands-on interpretation, this journey offers a rare chance to see the Murray thriving and to understand the conservation work behind its recovery.

Dark Sky Astrophotography

Dark Sky Astrophotography

Journey to one of Australia’s most remote outback locations for a four-day astrophotography experience under some of the darkest skies on the continent. Led by award-winning astrophotographer and Sony Advocate Will Godward, this small-group workshop takes you to William Creek, gateway to Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre and the Painted Hills.

Learn advanced astrophotography techniques under Bortle-1 skies where the Milky Way casts shadows on the ground. Each evening includes guided telescope viewing and hands-on instruction with professional star trackers.

Optional scenic flights (additional cost) over Lake Eyre’s vast salt flats and the ancient Painted Hills offer aerial photography opportunities across landscapes shaped by geological forces over millions of years.

This tour combines technical skill development with immersive outback experiences for photographers of all levels.
