A classic mountain ultra trail running race by Trailsplus across the rooftop of Victoria’s High Country. The iconic Bogong to Hotham (B2H) Rooftop Run enjoyed a successful return in 2024 for its 33rd running, back to a grass roots format and they look forward to their 35th running in 2026.
B2H is a classic race with a rich history embedded in Australian trail running folklore.
Starting at Mountain Creek Campground near Tawonga, runners climb Victoria’s highest mountain, Mt Bogong, descend T-Spur to Big River before the next big climb up Duane’s Spur to reach the Bogong High Plains.
Passing through the main aid station at Langford Gap, runners continue across the high plains before dropping to the Cobungra River and climbing Swindler’s Spur on the way to the finish at Mt Hotham summit.
Undoubtedly, one of the toughest races mile-for-mile in Australia, it offers the most spectacular views, the most amazing experience and a real challenge for trail runners.
Runners, their families and support crews are encouraged to visit the Mt Beauty area before the race and to stay a couple of days after to take in the beautiful mountain areas of north-east Victoria.
