Hervey Bay Whale Watch – Quick Cat II, locally owned and operated by the Peaker family since 2017 offers half-day cruises during the whale season from mid-July to the end of October.
Quick Cat II has been a staple since its launch in 2003, with Advanced Ecotourism ECO Certification, this vessel not only guarantees whale sightings but also offers the exhilarating opportunity for Whale Swims (conditions apply).
Quick Cat II is a beacon of accessibility, boasting wheelchair and pram access, ensuring that all can witness the beauty of the whales that grace the pristine waters of Hervey Bay each year. As a non-smoking vessel, it prioritizes the comfort and well-being of all passengers.
Guests on the morning tour get to indulge in a complimentary light breakfast before savoring morning tea, complete with tea, coffee, juice, and light refreshments. For those joining the afternoon tour, afternoon tea awaits. Quick Cat II has a bar onboard where additional snacks can be purchased & is fully licensed, adding a touch of luxury to your adventure.
Departing from the Great Sandy Straits Marina at the Urangan Boat Harbour in Hervey Bay, Quick Cat II welcomes you aboard for an unforgettable journey into the heart of nature’s majesty.

Morning and Afternoon half-day whale watching tours.
Including complimentary light breakfast and Morning tea for the morning tour and afternoon tea on the afternoon tour plus full bar services.
The morning tour travels via Kingfisher Bay Resort on K’Gari (Fraser Island) to collect guests and gives the opportunity to upgrade to a Whales and Fraser Island Package which is inclusive of lunch on Fraser Island with ferry transfers back to mainland all included at $40 extra per person.
