Burroman Flat is roughly 50 acres with 1km of Clyde River frontage. The river is permanent fresh water and has two small waterholes at the upstream end and a much larger water hole on the downstream end. In between are shallow rapid sections, small pools and endless exploring. The banks range from moss covered rocks and grassy sections to shady water gum forest, casuarina trees, river peppermint and blue gum trees.Campsites are spread along a grassy strip that runs approximately 700 meters along the edge of the flat with tracks that go down to the river. The campsites are grass covered in a strip of open forest with native shrubs that add privacy. There is lots of space and shade. To the eastern side of the camp is the open flat and Boulder Mtn. Burroman Creek forms the boundary on the northern side and meets the river at the upstream water holes. The River Road runs north south on the eastern side of the flat. The flat itself is ancient, and very high. The last time it flooded over was in the 70’s.
