Kimberley Wilderness Adventures
On a True North expedition, you’ll embark on an adventure that only a few people in the world get to experience.
True North and True North II are purpose-built to go where big ships cannot while exploring even further in dedicated adventure boats. Most itineraries also feature an onboard helicopter, so you can visit locations almost inaccessible to most. In between locations, you’ll relish the luxury of the beautifully designed boat. Not to mention onboard chefs, who craft a bespoke menu inspired by your location and daily catch.
You’ll be able to pack your days full of scenic tours, fishing, mud crabbing, waterfall walks, picnics, natural history appreciation, rock art and helicopter excursions.
To make sure your experience is uniquely catered to you, itineraries are limited to small groups (36 guests aboard True North and just 22 guests aboard True North II) with an Australian crew on board every expedition (22 crew on True North and 15 crew on True North II).
For more than 35 years they have immersed guests in stunning landscapes, coral wonderlands, unique cultural opportunities, and extraordinary encounters with nature.
West Coast Explorer
Relish in vibrant contrast – the deep blue waters of the Indian Ocean lap the red sands of the ‘north’ as the West Coast Explorer winds its way north from Fremantle to Dampier.
The Abrolhos are steeped in history: Ningaloo boasts world-acclaimed marine life and the Monte Bellos offer fishing paradise – the ‘West Coaster’ is a sojourn that tames Australia’s still-wild western shores.
A must for snorkellers and divers, a must for fishers, a must for the adventurer at heart!
Rowley Shoals Cruise
The Rowley Shoals feature exaggerated corals, mind-blowing fish life and stunning underwater clarity but perhaps more important than anything else – even today they are visited by only a fortunate few.
Guided by a marine biologist and a team of underwater naturalists, divers and snorkellers alike will revel in a diverse wonderland of coral habitats including maze-like lagoons, surging tidal canyons and breathtaking walls. Keen anglers will match wits with big blue-water pelagics such as black marlin, sailfish, wahoo and yellow-fin tuna.
Wander the enticing shores of Bedwell Island, see the rookeries of the red-tailed tropicbird and indulge in a True North favourite – sunset drinks on the beach – 300 kilometres from the shore.
The Rowley Shoals are Western Australia’s premiere coral playground.
