Set at the mouth of the Burrum River, the park offers a peaceful coastal escape with stunning water views and easy access to nature. Recent upgrades include new internal roads, larger and more uniform sites, improved underground services, and a modern unisex amenities block, laundry, camp kitchen, BBQ area, and combined manager’s office and residence.
The park’s non-riverfront Southside area is now dog-friendly, making it easy to bring your furry companions along.
With its prime riverfront location, the park is perfect for bird-watching, fishing, boating, water sports, and safe swimming. Boaties will appreciate the on-site tinnie ramp, allowing easy launching directly from the park.
Burrum Heads township offers a friendly community and local shopping centre for everyday needs. Guests can also book Fraser Island and Lady Elliot Island tours year-round through the park’s tour desk, while Whale Watching tours depart from nearby Hervey Bay from late July to early November.
