‘Bush Tucker Talks and Tastings’ is an authentic Aboriginal experience that will stimulate the senses and spirit, taking you on a journey back to Country and ancient sustainable practices.

Experience a modern twist on Native Food cuisine.

Indulge your senses and spirit in 60,000 years of ancient knowledge, as you unearth the secrets and treasures of Nyoongar Country (South West Australia).

Presented in an intimate small-group setting in the culinary heart of Gather Foods’ Native Food Kitchens, this light-hearted, educational talk will inform and delight you with Indigenous knowledge and sustainable practices, as you sample fresh native ingredients and take a deep dive into understanding Australia’s most ancient culture.

Hosted by passionate First Nation Food Experts, and featuring a special menu prepared by Native Food Chef Eddie Bulatao, guests will discover the importance and scope of Native Food Ingredients and how they can be reimagined in a modern food environment.

Physical – Wheelchair

  • A step free main entrance to the building and/or reception area (includes ramps or slopes with a maximum gradient of 1:14, otherwise are too steep for wheelchairs)
  • Step free access to restaurant, lounge and bar
  • Step free access to the conference or function room
  • Accessible seating areas in theatrette
  • Doorways which are easy to open and have lever handles (doorways 850mm or wider when open and not heavy).
  • An accessible public toilet which is unlocked.

  • Modify their cooking and cleaning practices to cater for people with food allergies or chemical intolerances (could include menus with meals free from: nuts, dairy, seafood, eggs, gluten etc).
