This Cape York Wildlife Tour prioritises spending time searching for and observing Cape York’s unique and endemic wildlife. It is designed for wildlife enthusiasts, whether that be birds, reptiles, mammals, insects or other! You will depart from Cairns and within hours be on the water with one of Australia’s leading crocodile experts, spotting crocs, birds and more! As you head further north, you travel through some incredible natural areas including the world’s oldest continually surviving rainforest in the Daintree, Queensland’s Kakadu – Rinyirru (Lakefield) National Park, Kutini-Payamu (Iron Range) National Park and several other top secret wildlife locations!
This tour requires a good level of fitness as there will be many walks looking for wildlife as well as night spotlighting and drives. The tour is mostly camping, with a couple nights accommodated at the Greenhoose, next to Kutini-Payamu NP.
The best part…might well just be hanging out with like-minded wildlife enthusiasts!

Solar Whisper Boat Cruise
Cruise the Daintree River (Julaymba) spotting wildlife on a quiet clean solar electric boat “Solar Whisper”. Get closer to nature….hear, smell & experience without noise and fumes. Know that you have enjoyed seeing crocodiles & other wildlife without having any impact on it.
They have a 99% success rate* for spotting crocodiles, excellent birding opportunities and other wildlife possibilities such as snakes, frogs, crabs and fish.
Your experienced interpretive guide is accustomed to the nuances of the river, rain-forest and mangroves and can spot an incredible variety of wildlife that you would not necessarily see on your own. The boat is fitted with the unique “CROC CAM” to help show well camouflaged crocodiles & wildlife.
